Arrow twin turbo 302 questions?????

My friend wants to sell me a twin turbo kit for my car that he never used! I have gt-40p heads and a E303 can basically i want to know if that is a good cam to use with a turbo set up and what is the best headgasket to use ( around 8 to 10 psi) i know a copper gasket but who makes the best? my bottom end is a rebuilt 302 and the upper is edlerbrock upper and lower intakes with 70mm throttle body and 24lb injectors should i up my throttle body to a 75 or 80 for the turbos

I would think you might want to run 42lb injectors, and get a good tune. Who makes this kit and how much does he want for it?

There is no way in the world that 24lbs will run a tt, not to mention I would bet you have a stock fuel pump. You will need a 255lph & adjustable fpr. Your heads and cam will kill a tt set-up. A tt set-up is alot more dificult to set-up than a single turbo. Plus keep in mind that you will want a good tune. As for a head gasket I would definately get a cometic gasket of some kind or Felpro Permatorque MLS & ARP head studs. How much is this kit? What kind of turbos? What size turbos?

Fel Pro Loc Wire gaskets have been on my car for a couple of years and I have been spraying the hell out of it. So far no problems.

Most likely you will have to make custom headers, as the GT40 P heads will not work with the headers supplied with the kit. I just went through the same thing with my twins. I ended up going back to a stock head temporarily so I could use the supplied headers ( don't feel like fabbing up any headers right now). I have 42lb injectors in mine right now, you will need 42s as well, but you'll have to play with the fuel pressure as your valve train is different, you might need more up top where as I need less. Their are a lot of factors involved in setting it up. Its kind of trial and error, but you have to do it safely, don't just pour boost at it, test different settings and pay close attention to you EGT. To add to you combo, you'll need a ignition controller ( MSD Digital 7 plus ) to control your timing as you turbos produce boost. For every lb of boost you make, you'll need to retard the timing a degree or more. You need to consider all that you getting into before you jump right in. Its not hard, but its not easy either.

First and foremost, stay away from copper and cometic gaskets and stick with a set of felpro 9333's or 8548's.

As others have said, the headers may or may not work with the P heads. I would check this out before you make any decisions to buy the kit. The headers I use clear P heads...but many don't.

You will need at a minimum 42lb injectors, high pressure 255 in-tank fuel pump and a matching MAF meter for the injectors. At that point, you may be able to get away with simply locking the timing at 18*.....but I would STRONGLY recommend getting a dyno tune done.

Your fuel pressure should be kept at stock levels (39lbs w/vacuum line off).

As for your throttle body, the 70mm is fine. Huge throttle body's are not necessary in blow through forced induction setups as the air is pressurized (I am still using the stock TB).

If you haven't already, I'd strongly recommend heading over to The Turbo Forums.com and do some reading up on what works and what doesnt.
