I just stubbed my toe on the couch. It wouldn't have happened if we stayed out of Iraq. |

There are some missile defense systems that have yet to prove their worth. Hopefully those will go to the chopping block so we can concentrate on better projects. |

See that deal with Russia thread for the information on the MDS and critics responses. One of the contractors came to my school to show us a test of their missile interceptor. It was really cool. It had a number of successes, but the presenter said they still had a way to go. |

Part of me says "Stay away from the Eastern Hemisphere and mind your own business, then expect Russia to do the same which they probably would."
The other part of me says, "We live in a free nation, with free capitalist markets and freedom of speech. There are others who may be in jeapardy of losing their rights and being overtaken by the new Russia."
So do I feel America should be setting up missle defenses so close to the Russian border? I do not know. I am on the fence.
What I do know is that if we do not spend money to protect ourselves and our friends with current technology who will? I say cut the Mars exploration. What a waste. We are in a recession. Maybe when we are back on our feet you guys can go back to exploring planets for water. |

This period of upheaval was coming regardless of who was voted into office. Those in power running the banks and gov have set us all up for failure.

It's just a snag. And it is in fact inherent to Capitalism, and Marx actually foresaw it.
But I'm not arguing with a bad decade twice a century. |

Even if N. Korea launches a test rocket, whether satellite or otherwise, I don't believe Barry has the nards to give the command to shoot it down.

I dunno. I never thought Clinton had the nards to send Tomahawks into Iraq.
If I had to gamble I'd say your right. He wants to be the good guy that talks his way out of everything. He wouldn't risk an international backlash at the US 2 months in. |

Or he may not be dumb enough to drop a lit match in a room awash with gasoline.
That room was pretty much cleaned up till Stupid got into office 8 years ago and started splashing the flammables about again.
And, Haven't we had enough of confusing Stupid with having Balls? |

Well we (the U.S.) have already stated we'd shoot it down if they launch it. So Barry is damned if he do and damned if he don't.
