engine code "x" and "w"
im just making sure that "X"code in vin is windsor motor with 8 bolt crank and "W" is for romeo motor with six bolt crank ? looking for a flywheel i have "X" in my vin but i wanna make sure it is an 8 bolt crank before i order my flywheel thanks for the info guys

The "X" and "W" only mean that you have a V8 engine. It has nothing to do with romeo or windsor. You have a 2003 mustang so you have a 6 bolt crank.

^ i believe they switched in mid 01 to the Romeo.

i was gonna say, mustang gt's have 6 bolt cranks, cobra's have 8 bolt cranks
