Strange Mach400 issue

Hi All,

So I have a strange issue with my Mach400 system. I am getting a wired buzzing sound every so often but when I move around in the driver seat the buzzing goes away.

Are there any wires from the head unit or amps that pass under the seat? its really very strange. It could be a bad amp but it would be odd that when I move around or kind of bounce on driver seat.

thanks

i'd unbolt the seat and start looking to see if you see anything, does it only happen if the engine is running?

This may sound stupid but in my work truck my cell phone can make the stereo speakers make crazy hums that are easily manipulated by moving the cell phone around. Or you moving in your seat with it in your pocket. It does this at random while it looks for or receives a signal.

What's a Mach400 system? I thought it was either Mach460 or Mach1000. Is there another model factory stereo that I'm not aware of?

Yeah it was a beer typo should have been mach460.

Yes your cell phone can interfere with the system or any system for that matter depending on what frequency and power level your phone is transmitting. I just happen to work in the telecoms industry and know one or two things about cell phones and networks.

This issue seems to be suppression or an amp feedback related issue maybe a loose wire or something.

thanks for the comments guy's

The wires for the rear amps run down the drivers side just below the door seal plate. There is also a plug for that harness behind the driver side kick panel. It controls the mids and bass part. The highs are from the front amps.

Can you tell if the noise is only from certain speakers? It will def help u in ur search.
