Hows the learning curve... can get one for $350 shipped.... considering it... was just gonna get a chip and dyno tune.

Steep. However, for $249, you can get the Moates Quarterhorse, which will do everything the TwEECer will do, but do it in realtime instead of having to turn the car off to apply changes. That being said, I still have my TwEECer and I'm stuck trying to learn how to tune with a supercharger installed. I'm not having any fun doing it either.

Yeah it takes awhile to learn it but I on the other hand had fun learning to tune, its an interesting process figuring out what makes our cars work.

You guys are lucky. I'm a bit on the anal, I want it right - right now side, so it's driving me nuts. If my hair was longer than about 1/2" inch long, I'd be pulling it out by the handful. Putting the parts together comes almost natural to me. I basically installed my entire Vortech without looking over the instructions. Figuring out how to tune it, so I can actually drive the car is a challenge I hadn't anticipated, I suppose. There's more to tuning than I realized, so I'm just playing catch up and the enjoyment isn't there for me. I should've been reading this stuff all winter whlie the car sat, instead of trying to figure it out in a matter of days, so the car is drivable.

I'm asking a question here I really am curious about

Whether one uses a Tweecer, PMS, Moates, or whatever interface ......

I still see the challenge as not being in ... How To Use An Interface
but rather
Why would one want to make a change

I know it has been for ever since I got started with self tuning
but
I still see having the ability to gather data as being a very big benefit

Yes ... I can see how some of the interfaces newer than the Tweecer
are slicker and all that

but

One still needs to know if they need to + or - fuel & spark

I just don't see how any self tuning option is gonna allow one to bypass
time invested in gathering basic knowledge when they enter the
fascinating world of self tuning
