i have a 2004 mustang V-6, i tried to put speakers in the front doors (didnt have any when i got the car) and it turns out that the mounting brackets are missing (black oval plastic to mount the speakers), the previous owner stripped the car completely and he removed the brackets, does anybody know where i can find some, or does anybody have any they are willing to sell?

What speakers are you trying to install, as the factory ones are the same size as the opening in the door or rear deck...

im trying to install the factory speakers from my other mustang which is also a 2004, my other mustang has a black oval mounting bracket and it looks as if it came with the car out of the factory, when i look at the other mustang's door it seems the bracket was pulled out because it has two weird loose screws from where it used to hang, if i cant find any brackets do you think it would be a bad idea to just drill the holes straight into the sheet metal? thanks

you need the plastic that you are speaking of .. and it is riveted into the door ... try ebay and check your other 04 for a part number stamped on it
