Corvette questions

I just recently learned of the Corvette torque tube set-up and had some questions.

1. Is the clutch assembly/flywheel still bolted on the engine?

2. What type of shift linkage is used?

3. Is the 6-speed paddle shift a true manual transmission or an auto with manual control?

1. yes, which is why ive seen repair orders saying 15+ hours of labor to do a clutch

2. cable

3. automatic with overriding controls.

Thanks for the answers.

One more thing, the placement of the torque converter on the autos.
