Very nice! The 96s always seem to dyno better
My 96 did 299.8 rwhp and all I had was a filter (stock box), O/R H-pipe, cat back and a chip I miss that car |

Keith at big shot dyno said if i put an intake, headers, mid pipe, and a tune the car will make 310-330 rwhp. |

I don;t know about 330rwhp. That is well above what everyone is making. In the other thread I told you what you can do to get over 300, and I think 315ish is very doable being your engine is strong, but 330, I don't know. |

Thanks for the info. You are dead on with what it will take to get 300hp. Big Shot Dyno thinks 320-330 is a very reachable number with all the bolt ons and a strong 94 oct tune. He has had 96-98 cars lay those numbers before. I would be very happy with 315 hp. |

I don't think there is any bolt on only, non intake B headed Cobra making 330rwhp. Even with aftermarket cams and an intake you are looking around 340-350ish w/o port work.I would be very leary about his numbers because you can inflate a dyno number on the dyno.

330rwhp...A little high but you can get closer to 300 with the addition of: Longtube headers: BBK or Kooks. Should be worth 14-20RWHP on an n/a Cobra. H or X pipe: Catted or non-catted depends on the laws where you live. MI does not have emissions testing so I went non-catted with my 96 Cobra. Underdrive pullies: Go with Steeda's...should be worth around 10RWHP Shortened intake runners: Shops have to have done this before I would let them touch mine. This is worth up to 24RWHP on n/a cars. 40RWHP on supercharged cars. It decreases torque though. Tune: Every tuner can get different amounts of power depending where they put your a/f ratio numbers and timing and spark curve etc...
Keep the stock throttle body because its good for upto 450RWHP.

I am melting my bank card this friday. I am installing 4.30 gears, slp long tubes, off road x-pipe, and sct tuner. I am looking for 290-305 with that combo. I will tune it and add under drives in a month or so. I don't think I'm going to remove the imrc's???? |

Don't remove the IMRC's. My tuner is one of the most reputable in the country and he has never recommended removing those. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
