An aquatic specialist from the DOW confirmed that what the camera had discovered was actually a Bryozoan, a primitive life form that, as a species, is over 350 million years old.

The Bryozoans are collections of smaller organisms that filter food out of the water supply, and they are an extremely primitive “animal” life form.

A Naturally-Occurring Phenomena The Department of Environmental Quality often receives complaints claiming that there are gelatinous balls, floating blobs and even “water boogers” some as large as basketballs on the lake shore or in a lake or pond. This phenomenon is due to the presence of bryozoans, also called moss animals.

I once found an eel hanging half out of a man hole after a hurricane a few years back.

Granted, this is in SC, but I'm not far from the border.

That is weird, whatever it is.

Jealous that there are not sewer cams here. Damn right. I'd be looking for the albino aligators.
