bossani x pipe

I picked up a used off road bossani x pipe for $60 today. I think I got a good deal. Will I notice much of a change with this? The only mods on my 97 cobra are 410's, cai, flow masters. It had a c&l maf on it but it was triggering a cel. Also, would a programer help a car with so few mods? thanks.

Yeah, you'll free up a few ponies by switching to an aftermarket midpipe, especially if you still have the factory H pipe with its numerous catalytic converters. $60 is a great price.

Just a heads up - you may not like the "sound" of that potential exhuast combo. Quite a few people don't care for the exhaust note of an X pipe paired up with chambered style mufflers (ie - flowmasters). Most folks would prefer to run an H pipe with chambered mufflers and an X pipe with straight through style mufflers.

Exhaust sound is such a subjective thing anyways; maybe you will like how it sounds.

Sounds like you have some decent bolt on mods - getting a hand held tuner can help. However, if you are planning on adding more "power" mods, you may want to wait until you get those first.
Ideally, you would want to get a custom dyno tune, but most folks shy away from that unless they are running a power adder or have some serious engine modifications. Guess you got to figure how much $$$ you want to spend...

G'luck.
