Question C&L mass air tube from 19lb to 24lb questions

I have a 89 5.0 with gt-40 p heads, e-cam, 76mm C&L system I just installed 24lb injectors, and air tube now it doesnt run right, at full throttle it is sluggish, and at a certain point on throttle it has a miss in it . Does the mass air have to have anything electrical also like computer. I have 110lph fuel pump and March ram air and 70 mm throttle body stock intake P.S. How much fuel pressure should I set it at, I don't know where it is now, but will check it tomorrow.

You do need to change the sample tube in the MAF when you change injector size.
The C&L site has the details on their calibration page.

baseline fuel pressure should be in the 38-41psi range... measured with the vac line disconnected.

After looking at that chart, I see that the 24lb tube is blue, but the one I got off ebay has no color, the only thing marked is a #2 on it. It is however bigger than the one I took off. Does anyone know which way the air tube goes in the housing, because whne I took the old one off I (in a hurry) didnt pay attention which way it was, I tokk the housing off and loked at it anyway I put the beveled in toward the filter would make a difference if I turned it?

I put the screen in front of the maf and it helped it alot. The fuel pressure was 42 when first checked reduced it to 38lb, is the pressure suppose drop when on the throttle?
