DVD/CD parking brake wire 2000 gt

Hey stangnet peeps,
This is my first time replacing a car radio, now, my aftermarket radio has a brown wire that only allows the dvd to play once it's ingaged with the parking-brake on, is there a way I can use Add-A-fuse to bypass without splicing my parkingbrake lights wire. Maybe to a fuse that only gets power once the car is turned on, or when the radio is on, I saw that the radio fuse has 15mini amp fuse and so does the parking brake lamps, so could I use this set up?

There are unused circuits in the fuse box (passenger footwell). There are both switched and un-switched. Use an add a fuse thingy on one of these and run the wire to your radio. It would be one way to do it.
