99 v6 Random Hesitation

1999 v6 w/5 speed 99k miles, stock daily driver.
Dome like stayed on and killed the battery, took out the bulb.
Gas gauge would go below E then correct itself randomly. (cluster regulator?)
Odometer would turn off then back on with the correct mileage. (bad solder?)
Now the car has decided it will hesitate randomly,
I checked the coil pack and there is 15k ohms between the wire plugs for each corresponding cylinder, seems normal to me. I took a look around in the engine bay looking for a bad ground, everything seems tight. Now I did notice that someone added an alarm (the remote almost looked factory) with wiretaps on a module just above and left of the clutch pedal with a box zip tied to the steering column brace. I do not have a wiring diagram so now I`m stuck because the factory box next to it is big and the ecu is on the other side of the car so I do not know what it is for, but it has factory harness connectors so is it for the SRS? A diagram would help greatly to figure out why my car has lost its mind.. I plugged my OBDII cable and no codes with sensor data seeming normal. Any procedure for checking if a ECU is bad?
