The dreaded Mach 460 6 CD changer!

I've read countless posts on failures of the 6 CD changers. I now have one with the classic symptoms of "slots full" when there's no discs. "CD Error" when you try to activate the CD player, etc. I've had mine apart several times and cannot see any mechanical issues. This appears to be a circuit board issue?

Has anybody determined what actually goes bad in these units? I'm savvy with a soldering iron, so it would be nice to know what fails in these units, so that I can actually fix it if possible.

Thanks,
Boomer
