| | | 2.3l turbo
Hi all i have a 88 mustang 2.3l turbo. The turbo set up i have on it is a t3/t4 hyb. With and aftermarket turbo manfold with a 38mm external waste gate. I done check all the intercooler piping and bov for leaks none all gasket good. My wastegate has 19psi spring in it now. My main thing now is when im giving it gas my boost gauge want to flutter around 12psi. Than to 19psi real fast till i shift gears like in 2nd and 3rd. I cant even get to red line it starts doing it is it the wastegate bad. Any ideals the bad thing it done this with a 10psi spring as well any ideals would help. thanks |

48/60 what? Trim or A/R? That doesn't sound like a hybrid turbo to me... |

That's not a hybrid, that's just a regular T3, if it is off a saab.
Do you have a 3" downpipe and 3" exhaust?
I'm guessing that turbo is way too small for everything else you have already done.

Yes please do.
If you have a T4 cold side on a .48 T3 hot side, then that's probably why you're having boost control problems. |

That looks like a generic T3 to me, but it's hard to tell without a picture of the compressor wheel or more importantly, an inducer and exducer diameter.

i have around 1500.00 in it the only thing you need is a 2.3l turbo motor the ecm and the vainair meter that would be the quickest route | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
