free 67 fast back v8 duel crab!!!

hey guys this is my first time in the classic area. im always in the 4.6 section anyway
i found a posting on craiglist this guy i giving away 3 free mustangs "bodie only"
and 3 free motors one is a duel crab he said they been setting in a barn for last 15 years
it's his uncle's cars 'past away' he describes cars as little to no rust i sent an email asking
if has title please help me with a few questions

i know this would be a long project and costly one but fixing an old car is never cheap
#1 how much would a frame cost #2 would i be better off saving for a whole car ?
you can find the add on dallas craiglist look in auto parts keyword mustang
any advice would be helpful thanks

First off, the cars are unibody and don't have a frame.

Get some pictures and then ask again as there are too many question marks with sight unseen.

Its kinda hard to decipher what you're trying to ask. But are you asking what should you look for and is it better to buy a complete car rather than take this free one?

Is it a rolling chasis?

When shopping for a new project you have to ask what you want to do with it. Do you want to race it? do you want to put a newer engine or do you just want to make it run and enjoy it as long as possible letting it break down and fixing it as you go? It's going to be money either way.

Mustangs are unibody as krash stated, you want to see if this dude's cars have frame rail rot on it, check the cowl to see if it leaks, floor pans, trunk quarters etc... See if the body panels are straight, look for rust bubbles. If it's got major rust in any of those areas you might want to pass if the car doesn't have sentimental value or if you're not looking for something to put a lot of time and effort and money into. ask for pictures of the underside of the car or better yet go see it.

Unfortunately, no bolt-on sub like the old camero. It is an integral monocoque design.
