Care and feeding of drag tires/wheels

All-
So I'm thinking about purchasing a set of drag radials and a set of Centerline wheels to mount them on (probably a 17x8) in the spring. With that in mind, I'm curious as to what goes into getting a set of these things mounted and balanced- specifically, do I take them to a Discount-tire sort of outfit to have the initial mount and balance done, then just take them home, and swap them out when I need them? I'm sure I'll also need to invest in a torque wrench...
Thanks in advance,
Jim
