Back from the track

I justa got back from the track and im kinda disapionted but i know i need to get tires with 317 ft tq. I ran a 13.00 at 108 mph spinning really bad in 1st and most of second. I tried to baby it out of the hole a mash second and still spun bad. I am going to try and get some d.r's and go back next friday.

O damn. Yea there would be your problem. Get some nice drag radials on that thing and see what she pulls then.

if you hook, you mph will drop a little, i didnt belive it, but its true, i went from 107-108 spinning, to 105 dead hooking, how with the 430's i consistanly trap 108, and once in a while 109.x

your car had a mid 12's pass it in, just get here to hook!

What size tires are you running cobra and what rpm are you trapping at with 4.30s? I can get some low milage 4.30s from a buddy that went to 4.56s but i was a little scared of running out of gear.

i run 26" et streets, i trap about 6100ish

430's add 150rpm more then 410's, so add 150rpms to your rpms...

nice trap. do you have a pic of your stang?

i was at the track last night but left when it started raining. My times were crap. i developed an exhaust leak on the way up to cecil and i think its at the driver side header. anyway i trapped a 109 but my time was 13.5 with a 2.3 60 foot.

did you have the black rims?

I wasnt spraying out the hole. i think it had more to do with whatever was wrong with my car, lack of good tracktion and simply my crappy driving for the night. i mean i hit a 13.4 at 105 with all engine last time i went there. its make this nasty open header sound now. i have to figure out whats going before i run it again. i think i did see your car there though.

Yes i did have the black rims, the previous owner had the painted at a shop. I need to get better wheels too. There was nobody there last night but a couple cars and i stayed maybe for 1 hour and ran like 5 times because of the lack of cars there. So i didnt have the normal 30 minutes between runs to get out of the car and talk to fellow stang drivers. Did you happen to see to red aero stang running 11.80s throwing on the brakes at like the 1000 ft.

I would love to go back out there for superstallions but I have to work. A couple of my buddies are going to be racing there though. 1 has a kona blue NA 2010 gt that runs 12.0 and the other one has a black 96 gt NA that has a 11.8.1 comp. ratio with 4v heads. he has been 11.50 with only a 1.8 60 ft. Mayne you will see them out there. Are you racing or just watching

I am going to try to make superstallions but dont think I will.....just for info....superstallions is just a track rental...it is not a race or anything competition like You have to pre-buy your tickets unless some are still for sale at the gate that day if they do not sell out
