Your first mods should be a short throw shifter and some suspension work. |

Yea sounds like you have some good mods in mind. Also when you slam it make sure you get the shocks/struts replaced too. C/C plates are also a good idea. And I always recommend FLSFC's BTW nice color choice |

congrats on your new car, your gonna love the mustang
i say first thing u should do, is some headlight restoration, you can get a clean up kit at ur local autoparts store for about 10 bucks or less. then, clay bar it, polish it, and wax it up to get that paint looking good again. |

an update i cleaned it today am planning on working on the headlights tommorow but wow washing and a lil bit of armorall and wax can really make a car look like a completely different car lol. I had a friend who really knows his stuff come over and look at it and drive it, it has a b and m shortthrow from what we can feel stock gears it has good underdrive pulleys not the garbage ones, and a k and n intake, when it is registered next week we are going to try and fix some of the stupid little problems, doing alot of the old dry rotted hoses in the engine a few interior problems and the plastic piece between hood and windshield i want to try and find a new one. Might go junkyard shopping for some new edge v6's next weekend
Thank for the input, i will keep you guys updated. |

i checked it out today, and its a great starting platform, and will be running strong very soon!
we will get that thing in top notch condition , it just needs a little TLC that any 10 year old car would, but the interior is VERY clean, and the few exterior things can be fixed,
arent you glad i got you into mustangs..... |

Wash and wax really helps. A clay bar will really put it over the top. As for your plastic cowl panel use a Mr. Clean magic eraser on it. Will really help. |

I hear ya!LOL!
Where to start,where to start!!LOL
I remember having my B&M shifter,Flowmaster 40's,HPM driveshaft safetyloop, and the Eibach sportlines before i picked up my GT new from the dealer. Then a week or so after i picked her up i had the M&M C&C plates, and Kenny Brown sfc's installed,.......and it had never stopped since LOL!When you think you are done,or only want certain mods, you think of something else. |

Next week were going to do the basics and just replace all the hoses and everything small like that in the engine bay and get it cleaned up then search for a v6 bumpers and some other little things in a junk yard then im thinking of buying 4.10's first because i hear it will wake the car up then take off on mods from there |

Cool stuff!!
Definitely do the basics to get the GT up to where you are satisfied, then do the play stuff.
4.10's is a good step to start. It will be the mod that you will notice the "bang for the buck" out of for sure!! |

Nice looking Stang! As far as cleaning goes:
1. Wash
2. Meguire's Clay Bar
3. Meguire's Cleaner Wax
4. Wash again.
5. Meguire's NXT 2.0 Tech Wax <<<
It's a lot of work, but it will be very very clean. IMHO, nothing beats it in the shine/price ratio (<$50 for everything). I just got done with this method on my granddad's 04 Screaming Yellow Mach 1. It literally looks better than brand new. I'm going to get some pictures this upcoming weekend.
