Does anyone have their LX tail lights apart at the moment?

If so, I would really appreciate if you could snap some pics of the inside of the tail/brake lens as well as measure the exact size of the lens for the tail/brake light. Its a big square and I'm thinking its like 6x6 but I'm not sure of the inside dimensions.

Reason? I'm trying to plan a custom LED tail light option and I need to know how big the panel can be if I set it all the way at the back against the lens. Since I drive mine every day and I don't have time to pull/reseal everything, it would be a wonderful if somebody could help me out.

Also, does anybody know if the inside dimensions are different at all for the LX & Cheesegraters? I don't see how they could be, but since the GT's don't have the black trim around the edges, I'm wondering if maybe the lens is actually bigger.

/Thanks!

I'm thinking that if you just measure the outside and subtract an inch or so for lens thickness and rounded corners, you should be pretty close, maybe a 1/4 inch from all the edges.

Mike,

I know what the inside looks like.

The reason I need measurements is that I found some LED panels that are dual intensity and I'm trying to figure out how many I would need to fill the entire lens. The panels are 1.5" squares......so I'm thinking I will need quite a few. But it might be worth it if it works.
