Stop that crap! I'm not modding this thing to go fast. I'm just getting longevity things like gauges, bumper, fog lights and steering stabilizer

Let me know if you decide to do the exhaust. There's a company here in town that does the mandrel bending for quite a few of the "kits" you see advertised.

Airjet out in Clive, I've got under $200 in mine including muffler. Of course I did all the work myself.

They don't do retail sales. They manufacture exhaust systems for heavy equipment and buses primarily.
I found them by accident making cold calls a couple of years ago.

A chip does both and increases fuel mileage. It's an investment, not a mod

thats the beauty of diesels these days, you can mod them to go fast, and still turn in decent mileage, as well as maintain their durability. heck with a little work you can make that truck turn 11's in the 1/4 mile, and still be able to haul heavy loads for 250,000 miles.

The 7.3 isn't known for making cheap power compared to some of the other diesel engines out there.

The DP Tuner is a great mod. The shifts are much more crisp, you get a little more mpg's. High idle settings for quicker warm up. Oh yeah, and 140 more HP with the big tune.

I do want a 5" exhaust actually

As far as the tuner, That doesn't seem that bad really. I was thinking about one, although I hear so much bad about them too.

Dang I love Diesels. Powerstrokes are IMHO the best diesels out there. I don't like the Rams at all, the Cummins is a good motor but its not built by Dodge, so I don't even consider the diesel Rams a Dodge product.

Power Strokes weren't built by Ford either, until just a few years ago. So does that mean you don't consider the F series diesels a Ford product?
