Auto to Manual

I tried goin to the sticky thread but the link seems to be dead. So, has anyone ever actually done the switch? I have a auto trans and i really want a manual.... if so, where can i get a list of all parts i need and maybe a total cost for everything?? Any help would be great. Thanks!

wow Anthony must be between sites. Ha, get it? The list is long and a lot more trouble than it be worth. Most say just trade up.
Hopefully anthony will get his page up again.

i tried to scurry up the parts and YES it is very time consumming and pricey and AnothyGT's write up helped alot (it was excellent to say the least) but in the end i gave up and got a TCI rachet shifter 430's and rebuilt the auto trans with a 3000 stall and beefier components ! In my opion it was worth it in the end.. if your dead set on the maunal idea look for a trade in ! Good luck in what ever route you take and keep up posted !

Yes, the site is dead for some reason. I'm going to have to look into this.

The swap takes about a weekend and it's not a bad job. I'll see what I can do to get it up and running over the next few days.

you better LOVE your car to be doing a manny swap - I've dun it on another style of car and was a lot more difficult because very few GM G-bodies came with a stick >>> wat a PIA!!! Turf yours and buy one with a stick! my .02 btw, why did you buy a slushie?

Trade the car. Less hassle.
I also suspect later on some people may not want a car that is supposed to be an automatic but is now a manual.
