Some boby told me you could advance the timing at the cam and make a lot more power dose anyboby here Know anything about this?

All I know is that you can change the timing from stock to 14 I believe to get more power. Search this forum, I know it has been brought up a few times.

Yes you can change the relationship of the cam to crank

It is usualy done with a crank gear which has slots to allow
for an advance or retard of the cam

The rule of thumb is

advance yields more power at mid range and below
retard for more at midrange and above

Now ... to answer your Q as stated

NO ... You won't find ... a lot ... of power

In my experience your gain is gonna be subtle or maybe a bit more
but
Not the kind of gain that makes a huge difference

Changing your cam timing isn't going to do jack except cost you a set of timing cover gaskets that will probably leak oil when you are done. You can advance the ignition timing between 14 and 18 degrees to make more power.

also remember if you bump your timing you MUST run premium fuel,not that you shouldnt without doing it but MAKE SURE you do or you will start to create internal detonation

i have my cam advanced 2 degrees but honestly, i cant feel the difference. my cam already had advancement grounded into it as it is. if your motor is assembled, i wouldnt bother, but if its in the process of being built, then you could try it. i wouldnt go pass 6 degrees advance or retard by anymeans. 4 might be pushing it depending on how aggresive the cam is.

It really depends on the gear set. Some of them have the markers on the crank gear, some are on the cam gear. Either way, it's clearly market if you want to advance or retard it.
