so back to my tint question.

first mods sorry that you had to close the other thread. I had nothing to do with those comments. I really didn't know that mirror was considered ugggly.

All I'm trying to do is fix up my mustang. Part of the process is stripping off the old tint. Then to put new tint on it.

I can't put anything less than 35% legally; I'm looking for a tint that does offer privacy and coolness quality. It will be parked out in the sun all the time.

its been 10 years since i last tinted a car and haven't kept up with the products out there. I prefer to tint myself or even buy tint online to do it myself.

I'm wondering if there is any sugestions for whats good and whats not and where to get it from.

I was gonna say Huper optik as well. It's DAMN expensive though, but worth every penny. 3M makes some good stuff too.

Keep in mind, you put 35% film on bare glass, it will read darker on the meter. OEM windows are about 70-80% VLT, so tossing 35% film on NET's you around 25-28% VLT on a meter.

Most states are 35% NET, so you'd need 45%-50% film to meet that requirement.

Sucks...i know
