Maybe my car is too loud

Everytime I pull into a parking lot, SOMEBODY's car alarm goes off. A few minutes ago I pull into a burger king drive thru and it sets some dude's off in a lime green eclipse. He comes outside checking for the usual, you know, missing NOS stickers and what not. Anyways, thought I'd share.

I am pretty sure every rustang with a o/r mid pipe and chambered mufflers will set off car alarms.

some guy has an acura at work, its an early 90s. it has one of those sweet alarms that sound like every kid you had as a toy when it goes off

so everytime i drive the notch, i roll past it and throw a rev to set it off. he comes running out everytime and then see's me laughing at him.

my car used to do that ALLLL the time. then i put tailpipes on it and now it only does it some of the time. i think i'm going to unhook the tailpipes again, not just because it was louder, but because i like the sound a lot better.

If it's too loud, it's just right.

My 90 (actually my wife's DD) will set off every alarm in the lot, she loves it. She likes to drive through and set them all off.

Mac shorties, Mac off-road x and two chamber flowmasters, no tips or dumps or anything, straight out of the muffler and it's loud but sounds just right.

Not to mention a deep tone I haven't found any other way.

I like the look of the LX with the tail pipes but love the sound of the Flowmasters dumped. So I'm going to weld the tailpipes to the frame for the look and dump the Flows for the sound, that way I will have both things.

I get alot of compliments about how it sounds, especially with my cam. Only bad part is the fumes inside, and it's not even that bad. If there's any wind or even if I'm moving slowly, I don't smell it.

I've had flows dumped, and then tailpipes added. It yielded a completely different tone, of course...but I liked it. Macs with tailpipes, now that sounds nasty. I've just got to find some tailpipes. Mustang salvage yard near me said they're expecting two 5 liter LX's in next week.

Yea, I bet those things are a lot of fun tending to during a long thunderstorm.
