i paid $14,484 for mine with 52,000 on the clock. That car is great for that price to me its basicly brand new not even broke in and wow 27,000 miles you cant find any stang with that low of miles any more. As long as its in good shape no dings or dents, rust etc. your in good shape good luck with the decision |

Picked up my 06 for around that price however it has a little more miles.
Are you looking for a vert or just looking for a GT and this one happens to be a vert? |

I think if you can get them into the $13's that would be a good dealership deal. |

i will be checking with the insurance company tomorrow on a quote for a mach 1 insurance, that is the main thing holding me back. I had a gt and i just got rear ended...its a really sad thing the impact got into the right rear side of the car and will take 10000 to get it back on the road so its totaled. It was a dsg gt with 68000 miles, believe me i cried. so now i sit wanting to no insurance prices, so tomorrow i will look into mach 1 prices and go from there and if they exceed 175 a month its a definate no, a loan for 13500 will run me payments of 255 (low interest rate for a 5 year loan and i will def make extra payments and pay off early.) so thats where i stand boys sorry for the sob story...i still miss my dsg gt...and the vert thing, im not looking for fast im looking for good looking, decent gas mileage and these 99-04's do exactly that. |

I'm glad I did'nt buy my first Mustang until I was 27. By then I was already getting a decent insurance rate, and it keeps going down each year. Just buy a DSG Mach and you'll forget all about that GT real quick. |

I guess thats not to to bad of a price. More then I would pay, but to some its a great price...... There are PLENTY of good deals out there right now! And I mean PLENTY!
Just for a reference.....my 01 GT has 25k on it now, I got it with 24k miles and I paid less then the price of that car....and my car has some $$ dumped into it....
So keep looking, you will find a great deal out there!
BUTTTTTTT if your heart is set on that car, then go for it! Hey, its your money and your car. What is high price ot one person is a great price for another person. Its what YOU want! Best of luck! |

GREAT NEWS!!! The big deal about gettin a nice gt was what the insurance rate was, well ok for me being young, and whatnot, but i thought a mach 1 would kill me, turns out they are only 20 bucks a month more expensive on insurance, so guess what im looking for now |

You should be able to find a Mach for $14K with 30,000 or less miles pretty easy. It's just a matter of how far you want to travel. I remember back in '04 their were a couple dealerships in Nebraska advertising for '04 Mach's for $22K in car magazines. That was the sale of the century. |

Hoping to find a Azure Blue, Dsg, or Red Mach 1, 60,000 miles or less. Clean title, willing to go up to 14,000. Thats what i will be looking for then does that seem like a rip off to the seller? |

Did you even consider that maybe he doesn't like the styling of the 05-06? And how did you come to the conclusion that the people at Morrissey Motor Co are " fools"? What he does with HIS money is totally up to him and has no impact on you." "I would also tell you not to try to make automotive decisions for others when you have ZERO clue what other models of Mustangs they like, at the end of the day that is my point, nobody asked for other car advice"
And, once again, you have arbitrarily come to the conclusion that these folks are " trying to mess you over" (what the hell is that anyway?). You have made the determination that you " would not deal with people like that" because of the asking price of one car? Quote:

Looking back i wish i would have waited for a Mach. | These quotes in bold italic font above, although not 100% verbatim as I had to slightly adjust to fit this particular thread, (but the gist of each quote is spot on), are from your thread regarding "How to celebrate paying the Mustang off." See, the knife cuts both ways doesn't it Jared? It's amazing how, in your thread, you took public pot shots at me for offering any sort of unsolicited advice, and then asked the moderators to close the thread. What a pussy move. I was going to let this go, as I stated in my PM to you, but after seeing that you are offering eerily similar unsolicited advice, I couldn't remain silent. Is there some sort of double standard? Or are you just embarrassed because you have no job, had declared bankruptcy recently and live in a rented box? Obviously money (or your lack of) is a sensitive subject for you. I suggest that you "should have thought about that before you decided to insert your opinion." |

Its really just time to grow up. You already sent me a PM about your thoughts and concerns. Now you literally destroy a perfectly good thread. It's time to put your big boy panties on and grow up.
Your accusations have been noted, but it's time for you to let it go. I am not even interested in responding to various statements you have made. I stress again that your advice is unsolicited.
The original poster in this thread asked for opinions on a car he was thinking about buying. I did not seek his financial history or living conditions, I gave him my opinion. Frankly its people like you that should just be and if the moderators see that it is appropriate they can ban BOTH of us for 30 days or however long they feel is suitable because you obviously need a cooling down period. None of this is personal for me, so do yourself and the rest of us a favor and instead of taking this thread and who knows how many more before your ego is stroked back into a suitable condition. I know my past history much better than you and I know my current situation much better than you.
While I hate to say this, the thread is now worthless, and it should probably be by a moderator. If a ban is in my future than fine, its how things go i guess. It's a shame this individual had to bring this thread all the way down to his level...God Bless America... |

I wear big boy panties and I really need to grow up. | How did I destroy this thread? If you would have answered his questions rather than giving unsolicited opinions then maybe it wouldn't be destoyed. (And if you don't like my posts, simply skip over em - WTF? I don't see how you determine that this thread is now worthless because of me) In retrospect you should have manned up and kept the other thread going, but you decided to get the last word, the last digs, your last jabs at me, then run off and say, "Close this thread" and "Grow up." This coming from an 29 year old who rents a box, is unemployed and has already declared bankruptcy. With such statements as:
"buying a house with other debt is the definition of stupid" Then there are an awful lot of stupid people in this world.
"A burnout will be done...on $330 Goodyear F1s...I must be out of my mind, I will try to find a place to do it and film it and post it for you guys." Talk about stupid.
"I decided a year or so ago to be a big boy" - at 28 years old? About damn time. "I intend to pay all my bills, not get into a mortgage I can't afford and try to make you guys foot the bill." Then why did you declare bankruptcy? |

You have a good gf/wife if she has that attitude towards it. You will enjoy the Cobra, and have a target on your back! Are you looking for a stock car or a fully modded car or between? I know you didn't ask my opinion, but I think a stock car is a good starting point for the Cobra particularly because you will know most if not all the history of the car. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
