Album: johnny's 1967 shelby fastback replica

I bought this car in 1984 for the huge sum of $125. front fenders were missing, front approns and radiator support cut away for replacement. no numbers visable and the trunk key missing when i got it home i drilled the lock ,inside the trunk were piles of stainless trim and many parts. under the parts i found the origional front approns tossing them aside i came upon a set of 390 motor mounts, wired together along with the 4 speed trany mount, door tag motor tag rear end tag and carb tag. looking at the door tag it read 101025 san jose deluxe red interior raven black 4 speed ,looked at the approns again matching the door tag 101025 . i pushed it aside untill 1995 when my 10 year old nephew told me , i will never have a mustang. so i ask him ,how would you like this one? excited he said my dad wouldnt let you give me that. i said lets call your dad and see. we did ,he said you dont realy want to give that car to him do you. i said why not, he gave us the ok. we worked on the car slowly untill 1997 when my nephew, Johnny libby was diagnosed with leukimia. in 1999 Johnny lost the battle and passed away on dec 18 .unknown to me Johnny had made out a will leaving me the car once again.its been in storage tiil 2005 when i finaly started working on it. have a lot to go but its finaly comming along. new red deluxe interior, is in new raven black paint, centari. stang-aholics shelby fiberglass kit. and i found a matching #390 and 4 speed but it will always be Johnnys car
