This is my Mustang since 1985. Her nickname is Peg. Her full name is Durden's Pegasus. I drove her in high school, college, and to work. She's my best friend, and I love her dearly. Saying my Mustang is "just a car" is like saying a game bred pit bull is "just a dog". I've screwed up every imaginable thing with her, and she's forgiven me every time. I think she loves me, too. Right now she's pretty hefty built for a classic. She's running a solid lifter professionally built 409 stroker (351W) that dynos a hair over 500hp. It's hooked to a toploader and then a disc brake 9" rear. Yeah, it's sort of an old school setup, but it's been solid and untouched since 1994 with SERIOUS driving. Suspension is pretty decent i.e. negative wedge kit, roller perches, and all that jazz. I've got welded in body connectors, a GOOD roll cage, and discs all around. I prefer Toyo rubber, but they discontinued my T1-S gems. I'm running Yokes now, and I must say I'm pleased. This is a daily driver i.e. she works for a living. She'll carry a baby seat, Walmart bags, or my dogs to the vet. I'd rather be driving her than about anything in the world, ALTHOUGH I do enjoy watching my wife drive her, too (she's an S/N founding member, too). I look forward to seeing my son learn from her, as well.
