History I traded this car for an 83 rabbit convertible. The only reason I kept it, is because it was a three pedal car. I did not do any research, I just traded. As I was going to school at the time, I decided it would be my rolling
shop project.
So the car was originally a "C" code 289/C4 package. Very common, and not really a four speed car.
Exterior
crappy primer gray.
Interior
Crappy Aqua color. Carpet is shat, seats need redone, all the money went into the drive train.
In-Car Entertainment
AM/FM cassette, with a pair of 6X9's in the deck.
Under the Hood
Ah, the money shot....
.030 over 289, with Performer RPM cam. .496/.520, air gap dual quad, progressive linkage.
Suspension
Stock coils up front, leafs in the rear. 3.50 traction lock rear end, T5 transmission.
Wheels and Tires
225/60/14 on crappy 'chrome' modular wheels. Yuck.
