Well... my pony is almost 4 years old and I think it is about time to get her a new set of shoes.

In my quest for the perfect wheels and tires, I come upon a delima. Many places are offering options to have 9" wide in the front and 10" wide in the rear.

While I know that sometimes a wider tire is better, what are the advantages to having a 1" wider tires in the reas as opposed to gettin them like 10" all the way around?

I really do not want to ask the tire shops cause they will just give me a story on why I need the more expensive of the two.

Thanx

Umm, well, if you put 10" wheels on the front of a Mustang, besides looking silly, it ain't gonna turn real well. LOL!

As has been the case for many years, the larger (wider) tires in the rear will aide in the traction department by putting a larger contact patch down on the road. That's pretty much it, traction.
