FRPP 99-04 GT Blower Kit

No....I havn't done it yet.........found more power outta the stock block N/A......Should be closing on 275 rwhp and 310 rwtq with stock heads, cams and block on the Auto! Hard to believe the car only dynoed 212 rwhp stock! Dynoed 268 and 304 the other day @ 81 deg. Putting on a canton windage tray, port matching the header openings and gaskets, and gonna hone out the plenum a little more! If this car was a 5 speed.....290 rwhp could be achieveable. They highest stock heads, cams, block GT I have ever seen dyno was 283 and 314! That was out of a 5 speed. All the little mods and tweeks make the difference though! Car ran 12.97 @ 103.4 the other day with both front brakes draging bad. Should be around 12.70@ 106 with the new calipers! Going to put on some new ported heads and VT stage II's in the near future.......I think high 11's can be accomplished with DR's and 320 rwhp! Want to keep trying the N/A route for a while! Car is almost paid off too!

What mods have you done to get to 268rwhp?

(sorry for the thread hijack)

Here is my list....with stock cams, heads, block and full 17 in rims......car should run 12.70's at 106 now! Will take her out in the next few weeks! I can still get more out of her....hit 268 rwhp and 304 rwtq with a 12.7 A/F ratio.....she usually peaks out with a 13.1 A/F........

Well, finally got the stang back up and running again. Here's what she did:

MMR mod 900 forged shortblock
MMR stage 2 pi heads
FMS Eaton M112 supercharger with 3.3" pulley 8#?
90mm Ligntning MAF
75mm Accufab TB
K&N FIPK
42lb injectors
FMS shorty headers
SLP O/R X
Saleen/Borla Cat-back
SCT tune
363.97 rwhp 354.11 rwtq with crappy CA gas with safe tune

over 320 ft/lb of torque at 2500 rpm is fun!!
torque is over 300 from 2400 - 6000 rpm

Good to see it back together...wish mine was :(
You really need to get some blower cams! I have seen a couple guys gain 40-60rwhp with these blowers just by getting the blower cams. The crower st2 or VT st2 are both getting huge gains.

my friend has a non-pi blower on a 04GT motor and is just using RTV to seal the small hole... we took it all apart and put it back together the other day and its making 420whp w/ just 6psi and stageII blower cams... and thats at the wheels w/ a T-45 and 4.10's in a 96 GTS
Any details of the install, what was needed etc. to make it work? Was it the m-6066-m463 blower?

I'm the person he was referring too.

Its a NON-pi port blower on 04gt longblock. It bolts up perfectly to the longblock, there is 2 or 3 ports where it looks like the gasket wont seal 100%, but it does, i just run a wee bit of RTV on those ports for extra security precaution.

the 99+ fuel rails will bolt right up to the intake w/o any modifications (the install kit for the 96-97 cars, has a new formed fuel rail crossover hose (the return cars have 2) and the 99+ dont need this hose, so they bolt right up.

30# injectors come with the kit along w/ a 190lph fuel pump (for the 96-97 cars). A SVT focus pump or equivalent is all that is needed for the 99+ cars.

The supplied "recalibrate" computer tune is completely JUNK! Mine was set at 21* of timing.

The stock EGR tube works on the new blower w/o any issues. The kit includes a alternator relocation brackets which relocates the Alternator Up and to the right (if viewed from the front of the motor) to clear the blower snout.

it also includes a new upper radiator hose, thermostat housing, heater core hose, and throttle cable bracket. Other than that, everything from the stock intake manifold is reused.

The COP's still mount up fine, and there is actually the mounting "bungs/standoffs" already cast into the manifold. all that needs to be done, is them to be drilled out and tapped.

I've actually got mine for sell right now, as i've decided since i bent the rod in the 04gt longblock and am going forged internals, i'm going back to turbo.

Ed, is your car a DD btw? I'm considering a Mez WP for mine.

A few years back I was looking for a cheap blower. I would have not been very unhappy with the output of the FRPP SC. My freind has a procharged 99 v6 with a cam putting out 356rwhp.

I have the same shortblock, stock heads, cams, intake and exhaust manifolds. I put down 431/419 @11psi. If I would have opted for mmr's stage 2 heads it would have been around 470rwhp at 8si because you lose measureable boost with head porting or cams but gain hp. If I where you, since you have a nice up I would upgrade to a better blower. I just ordered some blower cams and I have recently installed some LT headers. I'm also adding a couple psi. I hope to be close to 500 after the tune.

Easy to say, but upgrading the blower in this case would basically entail buying a completely different kit. And by "better blower", I hope you mean more capable....since nothing out there has yet topped an Eaton for durability, reliability and longevity. Besides.....he's not that far off of twin screw numbers for the same amount of mods as it is. The worst part about the FRPP kit is the restrictive runners and the lack of aftercooling available. He'd be just as well to pull the blower off and port the inlet and intake runners, then add a Water/Methanol kit or a small shot of nitrous to cool his ACT's.

Your friend may have made good power with his procharged V6, but I bet his torque curve was nothing to sneeze at by comparison.

'03-'04 Cobra's have already proved that the M112 unit itself is capable of supporting up to 500rwhp with the right motivation, so 400-450rwhp shouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities.......and for a reasonable amount of time and money I might add. He just needs to address the shortcomings of the kit itself in order to do it.

Invert was running about the same HP as Green-Fow-Six and then added blower cams and is now over 400rwhp....dyno posted above...not bad for the FRPP Blower that everyone says can't crack 320rwhp.

What would you want to get outta the kit?

God, I know I'm digging this one up, but I have a new 04 GT that I would love to put this kit on. With all the bolt-ons I'm planning, I think it would put me in just the right neighborhood for power that I want in a daily driver. So can anyone give the rundown on exactly what one needs to order or source out to make this thing happen in an 04? Thanks dudes!

aight...i have to clear this up for everyone. I called ford, they dont make a kit for the newer mustang. They had plans but never went through. I sat down and spent alittle and custom made everything. I personally like the blower. For the price....I could not go wrong. A meth kit and smaller pulley would put me over 400 hp. Not bad at all. Any questions just ask.:D

Haha, I hate to be a pain, but would you do a total list of everything you need. I'm loving this blower more and more, and I think it would be perfect for my 04. I know you have to order the blower unit, but besides that, a rundown of everything you had to track down would be awesome. Thanks man!
