I have never been a Ford Fan, My Mustang is the first ford I have ever owned. I was looking at the 2005 GTO and the Charger and I drove both.
The GTO did perform very well and the interior was top notch, but the small trunk space (fuel tank is behind passenger seat) was a minus.
The Charger was oh-so-Luxurious, Dual A/C with body temp sensors, electric everything, awsome interior, but 4-doors? It drove like a cadi "heavy feel"
For both the GTO and Charger why they lost was one thing.... The Mustang LOOKS Better; Period... The EURO look of the GTO did nothing for me, and I could not stand the "Gangsta Mobile" look of the Charger.

the last response to this thread was in JUNE!!!!!! the challenger was not even a thought back then. but i can see where this will go. someone look up the thread "game: a list of cars faster than the 05 gt" or something close to that. just please dont start a new thread about how the GTO and F-bodies are faster.

What are you smoking? The last response was the same day as my post from Berserker. But you are right that I didn't notice the original post date. It was on the first page of the forum when I commented on it.

does it really matter that these cars are faster than the mustang?? the mustang is not the fastest car in the world.
it is however one of the best looking and one of the best selling cars!!
same cant be said about the GTO and only time will tell for the (coughcough)Charger

I agree...

Trans Am Good Looking?

I guess the trans am might look meaner in some strange way. Maybe if I were doing burnouts in the high school parking lot I would think that a trans am looked "meaner".

If you had said the camaro looked better I might agree w/ you, depending on the year in question, but all I can think of when a late model trans am is mentioned is the big plastic nose and the screaming chicken on the hood.

The only reason the chicken is screaming. Is because they lit it on fire. But I tend to see it as a flaming turkey.

Well these HEMIs are not the REALLLL Hemi
The Hemi on the 2006 Chargers and everything that mopar sells now are not a true HEMISPHERE but a POLYSHPHERE so the new HEMI is not a true Hemisphere Combustion Chamber.
Do not Quote me ,BUT ,I do not think that the 429 in the 429 Boss was a true hemi either. True hemispherical combustion chambers give driveability issues. I do agree though that mopar is trying very hard to cash in on old nameplates. What is even more sad is the people buying them. But excuse me for venting my opinion.Where are all the old K cars?
:D

Actually it was from page 1. And yes, I feel like an ASS. I got caught up reading it ( directed by similar thread) got side tracked , came back to it, didn't realize it was a year old ( or 5 pages) and put my 2 cents in. Oh well ,no harm done ,right?

Nope, no harm. Troll threads will always raise the hackles, tho, so you just got unlucky by the thread you brought back.:D

The term "Hemi" catually refered to the combustion chamber configuration and the location of the spark plug in the chamber. Chrysler had of rephased has the patent on this. GM later came close to the Hemi in their big blocks nick naming the "semi-hemis". This, once again was based on combustion chamber configuration. Hemi actually stands for Hemispherical Combustion Chamber. Now with that being explain all I will add to this discussion is it all boils down to Taste. Some of us have it, and some of us don't. Just look around and see who has been aroun longer. Then look at value.
