Just towards my daughters college fund, I spent all this time and $$ on the car. She deserves everything and will get it!

chris, my prayers are with you for your loss. if i may, i would like to suggest that you place your car in the corner of the garage and put a car cover over it. right now everything is emotional. hastily decisions should not be made. wait at least 3 or more months and revisit the idea to sell at that time. we are all guilty of spending more than we should. hopefully, there is insurance involved with coverage limits that will help to offset "some" of your loss. you will always love your kids and wife. involve them in the remaining decision making process. i think they would say....STOP....do not sale. if there is insurance, most insurance companys may offer plans called "structured settlements" which call for a portion of any settlement to be made at a later date....such as when a child turns a certain age {and must be approved by a judge as it involves a minor}. this could go toward a college fund. while i do not know your situation, or the facts of your loss. this is just another opinion i would like you to review. please do not sell unless you feel your present financial situation warrants it. while my post count is not the highest, i do use the forums, your car and several others in the modeling of my own. my deepest sympathies.

I am so sorry to hear about you and your family man. My fiance and I are about to have our first child in january and having my cobra scares me after reading this. We are teaming up with Chris' Neuro ICU Nurse Liz Encinas (our wonderful sponsor for this site, be sure to thank her at [email protected]) and starting a new foundation called JENNABEARS. You won't believe how many hurt and sick children are in the hospital with no support (yes, no parents) and no teddybear by their side to hug. That is our goal...to bring JENNABEARS to these children and hope that it comforts them a little during a hard time.

When Jenna was in the hospital, I asked a friend to rush home and bring back Jenna's bear. She loved that bear. Teddy was with her every moment. And we truly believe that every child deserves a bear to hold when they don't feel so good. So let's make this happen! If you would like to donate a bear or funds to help buy bears, let us know. We hope to one day bring JENNABEARS to sick children all around the world.

I'm working on setting something up were funds can be donated but it will be strictly non-profit (no fee's on either end)

I have contacted some other foundations to see how they go about this. I know Paypal would be the easiest but I dont want them getting a penny of funds donated for needing children.

that's a great thing you're doing, man. aside from keeping the memory of your JennaBear alive, you're giving something to kids that otherwise wouldn't have.
