You make a really valid point. Another thing that I keep coming back to is that if I sell my notch I won't stop thinking about getting another one down the road. The car I have now has alot of potential and is in overall excellent shape, it would be difficult to find another one in this condition in my area. The flip side of the coin is I know I could get a mint for it. I'm still torn because my desire to move into a better house is driving my desire to finish this one so it can be sold. Thanks for your input. Can't wait to see the tint job as this is something on my to do list this year to keep the cabin of the notch a little cooler.

True. If you sell your notch, you won't find another one as nice. That thing has been built to your taste, so buying somebody elses won't be as cool. I don't know the ins and outs of your car, but say you get 8K for it. You feel good about that 8K. Then after months of searching you find a notch that has your taste, but the guy is asking 12K and won't take less that 10.5K for it. Then what? That is why I would be afraid of selling my black notch, if I didn't already have Hack Job to replace it with. I thought of selling Hack Job too, but then getting into my black one, I'd me like....maaan that yellow one was sweet....It' hard, really hard.

Your black notch is sweet. It was one of the really clean notches that convinced me to take the plunge on a notch when I found my car. With two 5.0s though I feel guilty like I should let one go and the Hatch is fairly well done and i've owned it for almost 5 years while the notch is mostly stock but i've fallen in love with the notchback body style after owning it. I seriously wish my hatch was a notch. You've brought up another good point about replacement value to get another one i'd like especially since I got a really good price on this car. You've got a similar decision in that it's between the black notch which is fairly stock and exceptionally celan and the coolness factor as well as the modern touches that Hackjob has. I'm not sure how i'd pick. You also have a wicked Cobra I see in your Sig. I remember you having a Lightning as well which as I recall you sold to finance Hackjob. I think most people would love to see you keep Hackjob because of the caliber of the build and the uniqueness of it.

Ignore list? Heck no man, I would never ignore you....:D Interior shots are coming. I just got it back from the tint shop and it looks mean as hell. I will finish up some odds and ends with the dash and get shots up in the final thread.

Final thread will be called: "Project 81 Hack Jobs final progress thread"

I should have made just one, but it was so long in between stuff, I figured mini-threads would be better.

Yeah, final thread is the last thread for Hack Job. I'm gonna post all before during and after pics. Interior shots, and under hood shots. If the moter nature would stop pouring down rain on this state, maybe I could get it cleaned up soon. I'm hoping to have the car fully detailed and finished within a week, but it might be two now...

You'll have to throw your Cobra's Drag Radials on it soon and see how she does. :D



I still would like to see how Black Bullitts look on it tho.....:)

Thanks Jay. Your Anthracite Bullitss looked okay on the car, but all they do, and black Bullits would do it too....is tone the car way down. There is less "whoa" factor.

Friday night at the car show, I had 3 guys approach me asking if the yellow coupe was mine, and they wanted to check everything out...while they were looking at it, I quickly noticed that 8 or 9 more guys are crowded around my car just staring in confusion and asking a lot of questions. Then Saturday at Diamonds, same thing....I pull in, there were already about 8 other Mustangs there, and about 10 people came out and were circling the car in pure surprise. It was funny because, I didn't pop the hood right away, so just when everybody thought they saw it all, that is when I really blew their mind. IT made the 11 months and COUNTLESS hours worth it.:D

Just wait 'til Mustang Alley. :nice: You're gonna have to ask Bob for 3 spots this year. 1 for "Hack Job" and one on each flank for the crowds to look at it. :)

And if they're there again this year, I'm sure we'll be seeing a feature of "Project '81 HACK JOB" in Modified Mustangs Magazine shortly there after. God knows you and your CARS deserve one. :hail2:

Thanks boys. Yeah Jay, I will definately be talking to some people this year. I thought that I had a lot of people looking at my black notch in 2006, I can't imagine what 2008 will bring. I had a kind of a break in 2007 with my Cobra there, because there were so many. I have a nice photo album that my girlfriend made for me, and she made the front cover really nice to match Hack Job. I haven't even printed on pic yet, they are all on my computer, so I will have to print some up one night and get it together for the cruise.

1. She's not blonde right now, but will be in 2 weeks...:D

2. Having 3 Mustangs in my 2-1/2 car garage is cool, but is a PITA, so I almost want to sell the black one before that.

3. That pink tank top only gets worn in front of me!!!:rlaugh:

4. I will get tint pics up as soon as I feel better. I want to fully detail it and get my pics together nicely.
