BBK SSI Intake Warning

  • Sponsors (?)

Strype, at this point, what do you have to lose by sending the intake in? Worst case, it still leaks, best case, you get to use your expensive intake. You have got the attention of the person at BBK that tries to get 100% customer satisfaction.

This is the first time we have read this thread and our first chance to reply...

If and when any potential product or warranty issues arise, our Technical and R&D staff works very closely with customer s to make sure their 100% satisfaction is met.

our staff expects to also be treated professionally and be given the opportunity to correct these issues

contact us directly to discuss any issues whatsoever.

As I stated before, BBK can and will go above and beyond to help our fellow enthusiasts if we are given the fair opportunity to do so.

our staff at BBK hopes you realize that negative threads do not always hold the merit or validation of the original source

Yea I just got the replacement tube that I had to pay for even though I bought this $500 intake brand new and its the same size as the old one. I guess I'm lucky that puddle of gas that was under the car didn't light up while my headers were smoking.

Did you have a question?

So apparently you just need to contact bryan rogers at BBK for all your issues, because the people that handle customer complaints are not able to handle it without giving someone the runaround or pissing them off.

May need to fire some people or send them to a customer service class:D

Jon, come on. They are maning up to it and offering a fix for you. If they can fix the issue with no charge to you then you should give them a chance. I know how you feel about the issue with the leak and are upset about the measures it took to resolve it but they are trying to resolve it. Your point is proven and understood. Dont point out the mistakes and the shoulda, woulda, couldas. Get that thing on the car! You have been so excited about that intake for years now, get it on the car and see if it lives up to your expectations! You love to be different and hardley anybody has the intake, cant be much different unless you converted it to a 4-eye and swapped in a Power Stroke! :rlaugh:

Point is, you are my good friend and go through as much drama in life as I do (thats a scary ammount) and here is an oppertunity to get rid some of that bad luck and drama.
Bryan has been very nice and helpful in this, yeah he took a couple well placed pot shots but you had too. Let them fix this and then give the intake an honest to goodness review. Things change a whole lot in three years, I bet that intake is everything you hoped it would be.
I bet Brian would have made my past problems with BBK alot better as he is trying to do with you. You did have issues with other employees there but here is one that is trying his best to make it right and if he can then thats the most important parts.

BTW I believe NoSlo90 was just kidding. I dont think he was being serious at all.

As someone who comes from a long sales and customer service background, all I can say is after reading this thread and threads regarding BBK from the past, the callous and demeaning remarks made by Bryan Rogers here (and in past threads) are and will forever be the reason I will never buy a BBK product. Quality of product is automatically worthless when there is no one at a company that can help you when problems do arise.

My $.02.

where were these demanding remarks you speak of, i thought he handled it well, buisnesses have steps they have to take, and if you dont have a reciept, 90 percent of companies wont help you out. BBK is offering to fix the intake, what else can they do?

It's all generic here. customer service, tech, etc... all emails that can be answered by whoever ends up behind the keyboard....

Some of the guys we've had here in the past have answered some emails that get back to me and left me wondering "WTF??? Why didn't you ask me about this one? You ask me to tell you everything else you should know and you didn't ask me about this one"?

Just makes me wonder what they've said on the phone that I don't know about...

I was mainly referring to the thread from 2007. It pissed me off pretty good. I don't feel that situation was handled very well, and even though it's old, it still counts. I guess I've been jaded by a culmination of observations, opinions from friends, and other Mustangers about BBK.

And Bryan, even though we don't know each other and you probably don't care for me right now, it's nothing personal. I think I just have a different philosophy about operating businesses and working with people. No biggie.

Hence my question. Is there a way we can get in touch with you directly?
