Normally I hate restomods with new rims, but you did a great job with those, they look very tactful and subtle. Nice job. :)

Hi GP,

Thanks for the compliments & kind words !

I looked all over to find the right wheels. From the styled steel original mustang wheels, to even the " Bean Holes " that were famous in those days. I thought I liked the 5-spoke and saw / felt in love with Foose's Nitrous...but it's price was out of my leaque and I settled down with these.

I'm happy...still am !

I also like the new lights you installed. I'm planning on doing a similar setup on my dream stang. You have basically solved all the problems with the old '60's cars in general.

I noticed you installed a touch screen TV, how much does your stang now weigh?

GP,

Go for it with the front lights !

The TV is actually a normal , flat one. I hooked it up with the DVD and rear camera for fun !

Total car weight ? I really don't know. But I guess not much beyond the standard as those electric gadgets are not as heavy as before.

wow, very nicely done. Love the hood scoop being rivited on and the flares. Really makes the body look aggressive. Interior is incredible as well. The red stitching looks fantastic.

one question though, why leave the exhaust pipes looking so unfinished when everything else is so highly detailed? They look out of place

I also noticed George how the chrome bumper fits very well into the car, what kind of procedures did they use?

I'm curious because I know that some 60's cars I see have chrome bumpers that fit better than others.

Hi Simply J.,

Thanks for the compliments.

Hood Scoop ; Friends asked why did I show the rivets / bolts , my answer was that of the intention was to go RAW.

Exhaust ; end pipes look out of place. Hmm....more and more comments on this are coming. I listen...may have to REthink...may be REdo...

Alternatives I have so far are ;

Option 1 ; Do not show end pipes at all

Option 2 ; Square boxes ?

Option 3 ; Oval...similar to Ford Logo outline

Option 4 ; Round, with curve in look , and NOT as RAW look as of now ( It was my intention on RAWness again )

Option 5 ; Some design similar to the billet tail light bezels , only flatter

Your suggestions ?

Best,

GM.

Hi GP,

Nice observations !

Bumper fits Body ; When we were doing the body, it was discussed on this point. My option was to keep the bumper overall , and build certain part of the body to compliment the bumper. A little bondo worked out well too. ( But NEVER too much bondo ! )

On the body ; I was lucky to have the understanding of the bondo man. We use the " Water & Reflection Technique " to judge the quality of the work.

Along the way, I would have the water splashed over the critical area...and look / see against the neon light reflection to judge whether the body prep was straight enough. Any curve / out of shape area was corrected right away and at the right spot...so that the cumulation of unneccessary bondoing didn't happen.

We are also lucky to have a good result / straight body !

In regards to the exhaust, I sort of see where SimplyJ was coming from, maybe you want the finish to look less...dull. I guess that's the major issue with them, they are thin and the shine on them looks more grey than the shiny exhausts you usually see.

But other than that, they look good to me.

Hi PB,

Yeah, it's true.

Especially the dull end-pipes are so close to the shinier bumper.

May be they are TOO Raw ?

The RAW sound ... Old Clip.....

the pipes just look too unfinished... almost like extra large muffler shop exhaust pipes. I think a smaller oval or rectangular tip close to the rear valance (or even some cutouts on the bottom of the rear valance) would look much better. Just something so the tips tuck up closer to the valance and not as far out the back. Clean and neat

That's it, I'm taking a trip to Thailand!

Looks like I'd be right at home. Amazing food, amazing sights, and musclecars too! :D

It was worth the wait for all those photos . . . nice job. You consistently carried the riveted theme everywhere, and it works.

Hi SimplyJ,

I hear you !

Now, with the help from P/S.....translations of ideas.....

# 01 ..... taking a clue from the rear light bezel, but flattened

# 02 ..... Mr.Ford's oval...may be the only OVAL shape on the FANGs....

# 03 ..... Another RIVETS ... see that round gas cap ? .... that's where the design come from.....

Gentlemen.....your comments, please !

Cheers,
