Wow, that thing looks pristine.

Well, I will assume you were referring to me :)

If so, thanks! If not, don't tell me and let me pretend

Its far from "pristine." There is all sorts of dirt hiding out in the engine bay that is just too much of a pain to get to without removing a significant amount of stuff. So, I clean what I can when I can, and it looks pretty decent, I think.

Give me a month or so to keep cleaning on it. Then you will see pristine. The thing has been sitting since last October collecting dust :) I have to get the pulleys and the valve covers cleaner, at least. Also need to polish up the exhaust tips. And, if I get really bored, I wouldn't mind replacing those damn rusted nuts and bolts.

New wheels are going on, but the motor is torn down again to fix a leak and beef up the billet power steering bracket. I should have some new pics soon though. I can't believe I joined this place in 2000... holy crap where has the time gone?

I had to dremel a little bit of the fan shroud to make it work, but I'm also using a Fluidyne 3-core... so with a stock radiator it might fit without any modification. I wanted to keep the 94-95 waterpump to keep the clearance in front of the motor, but I couldn't find any bracket kits for a 94-95, so I swapped everything over. I also originally ran only the alternator, water pump and crank pulleys after I deleted the power steering, smog, and A/C, but I couldn't find a standard rotation pump (with ribbed WP pulley) for the 94-95 style timing cover. So that was another reason I switched to the fox style timing cover and pump.

You can see the ****ty hardware that came with the nice billet power steering pump bracket, I've since changed out those ****ty spacers for since nice thick walled aluminum stuff. My belt squealed really badly because the spacers they gave me were not even cut straight, they looked like somebody just cut them with a sawzall, and they then they started to collapse on themselves when I torqued the bolts down. I've also since upgrade my overflow bottle from the Gatorade bottle you see in that pic to a small reservoir mounted on the fender.
