You could paint the area you plastidip bronze though, right?

Yes, you can paint it whatever color you want once it has cured. I thought about picking up bronze for my wheels, but I think it'd be too dull to get the results I wanted.

I did my fuel door, did two solid coats just to start. It has a pretty nice finish, it's basically flat/hotrod black. No shine, but i may mess with the clearcoat I bought and see what that does.

It cures nicely... had a couple of uneven areas and a run (I was rushing) and they don't stick out after it cured. I did have a little bubble or two, but I don't care enough to re-do it... haha.

Seriously thinking about the roof and pillars.

I'm curious to see someone do it to their painted areas and pull it off. I saw that one youtube video, but I'm still not convinced about it messing up the clear coat.

I'm pretty much dead set on painted my winter rims. I'll probably resurrect this thread in a month or so with pics.

I taped a square area around my GT emblems and peeled it off the paint. It left a small amount of residue, but was easily cleaned.

I did the hoodscoop and spoiler while they were off of the car. The paint was horrible on these.

All I can say is make sure that everything is washed and waxed and all that good stuff before you start with the Plasti-Dip. The extra protection will give you peace of mind.

I remember seeing one article about a guy doing it to his C5 Corvette. He wanted to see what a full body custom stripe/design would look. His car was red and had black Plasti-Dip. Looked awesome.

SteedaGT, thanks!

VortechEdge, I think I will do the rims. I'll be sure to let you know how it turns out.
