Build Thread "Rising from Ashes" 94 Cobra build thread

Kevin, you seem to have the coolest wife of all of us. Surely you have gotten away with something in the house, maybe before you had a nice garage/shop?

After the house burned down, we rented a 2 br. trailer. I was allowed to store the interior of this car in the second bathroom. Seats, dash, door panels... whole nine yards.
I had my tools and tool box in the kitchen along with the transmission and engine from this car. Headers in the bedroom closet, the list goes on and on. I basically had parts or tools in every room in a 900 square foot trailer.

With this house and the additional garage space, and garage/attic storage everything stays out of the house. Not her rule... my rule

Wow it's threads and people like this that are the gas fueling my passion for cars(mustangs)! I am so picky on everthing I do and to see someone like me makes me happy that I am the way I am. Past events seem to make us stronger in one way or another and it shows here. My first post on this forum had to be in this tread, like others I spent a good while reading here and I am glad I did. This is and is going to be a beautiful car, keep up the awesome work. :hail:

P.S......... More please. LOL

Got the roof and driver side blocked with 220 and then blocked the passenger side quarter. All three panels are now at the same point and all got more primer last night.

95steedamustang, just wanted to know and I am sorry if it has been posted before and I missed it, but do you do autobody work for a living or is it something you have tought yourself? The roof came out great. Did you end up just filling the lines/dents made by the hood or did you hammer and dolly them first?

Yeah, although I'm not sure any good body man does the work for a living. I usually have way more hours in stuff than I charge for. But that's my own OCD kicking in.
The roof saw everything known to man. First a stud puller, then hammer and dolly, then heat to pull the stretched metal back in. Then a pick hammer to level the high spots from the stud puller.
Time frame for paint?

Except for some final small details, we can check another thing off as ready for paint.
Next up will be putting the doors and fenders back on and setting the gaps. Paint is coming...I promise
