Well...depends on whether its a steel or aluminum wheel. widening aluminum, you use a new piece from an outer shell that 2 piece wheels are made from. Turn the two pieces to interlock to keep them aligned during welding. Then weld the 2 pieces together on an automatic rotary welder, then skim cut on a lathe. So I have to ask, when you widen the wheels, do you cut a lap joint in the rim sections and in the piece you add in? Or do you just butt weld them together? Just wondering how you keep them concentric when you weld the pieces back together.
Sorry man...I can upon this title honestly. Believe me...my old cars weren't much more than ashes when it was all said and done. Thanks for checking it out.I think your project is gonna be very cool. I do have to tell you that You have stolen my build thread title (Even before I have a build thread to title)
Just kidding man. You were working on yours while I was going to town on mine on the Fox talk side. Now that the forums are merged, I'll just have to find a different way of saying it when I start mine.Sorry man...I can upon this title honestly.
