Spring cleaning wheel madness..

Some of you will appreciate the effort that goes into cleaning these. Others will appreciate the insanity and futility. But if I don't leave them too long or let them get too bad, they're not too hard to get clean.

A couple of years ago a friend put me onto a product called Rejex that seems to do a good job of keeping the brake dust, dirt, grime etc. from sticking. They've been easier to clean since I've been using that stuff, though it still takes fiddly brush work to get into all the crannies.

Great work! I feel your pain keeping those looking good. I commend you for still running them. I have my Turbines stored away and still bolt them on once in awhile for old times sake. They are looking tired so I'm considering having them restored. Just wish they were 17". LOL

Since my 'stang is not a DD, so they don't collect as much dirt and grime as they might otherwise get. But I'm still thinking of getting a set of Pony's for ordinary use. Also, the number of tire options in 15" has gotten pitifully small these days, so moving up in size would provide more choices.

You're right about the disappearing 15" tire options. After my turbines are restored I'll be looking for a nice set of tires. A set of vintage Gatorbacks would be nice!

Back in the day when ours was still our DD, I found things call Kleen wheels. They mounted between the wheel and the rotor.
Worked okay but not as good as a paint brush to clean between the spokes.

Its just a simple settup. I have the hose connected to the vent tube below the oil filler cap on the valve cover. My lower intake has no PCV so this seems to work quite well.
so everything is plugged minus that vent . that's the route I may go and then you just drain it from time to time?
