Sadly, I have never owned one. My father bought one new back in 57 . . . so all I have from that car are pictures. I hope to buy one soon but there are so many projects and so little time. I love the y-block. Unfortunately it is rather expensive to build it up for any kind of decent power (300+ rwhp, like a windsor) but they sound different, look different, and came with plenty of options.
57, just curious. By the handle I assume you are or were the owner of a 57 Fairlane. In my past I had a 57 Custom 300 that was awsome. Black with the gold trim, red int., standard trans and the T-Bird 292 with 2 fours. Alas, I sold it many years ago.
