i had bought a wrecked 94 GT w/5-speed manual.
i checked autozone,they list a Cardone reman computer(#78-5918) for $93.99 w/ a $61.00 core.comes with a 1yr warranty.
wherever you go,make sure its a Cobra computer,as it has a different tune then the GT.

by the way,how much does your mechanic charge you?
you might want to call around,maybe you can find a used PCM for cheap.
it is not hard at all to replace the PCM.
i did it in about 15mins when i did the 5 speed conversion.
it dont require any special tools.

the switch is in the trunk,driver side,behind the trunk liner by the taillight.
push the red button down.
if the button was up,that means the cut off was tripped.
push down and cycle the key on and off a couple times then try to start.

maybe i'll swing by there one day.
you should also check the fuel pump cut off in the trunk,maybe it got bumped and tripped the switch.

no,with my primer 1/4 panels,im embarrassed.LOL.
if the pcm is bad,it should show a code saying its bad or the reader cant communicate with the pcm.
also,dont forget our cars are OBD1.the test port is in the engine bay,on the passanger side strut tower.
some mechanics forget and think its OBD2.

no not yet. but i doubt it will even throw a code. but i just took it to my machanic. do you ever come out and cruz blackstone?

yeah it has spark and full and if i turn the ignition on the CE light stay on for about 3 min then goes off.
