Hi Couped....Thanks for your support! I believe that CarGuy and AB are Dave Rowland himself and his son Dave, who also works at Mustang Madness. No person who "walked in to buy parts" could have known the details as they posted in the blog..

Further....Dave doesn't sell parts. He only "restores" Mustangs. I’m 51 and owned this car since I was 29. I already tried to restore it once and the previous bodyshop stole my shaker, window slats, and screwed up my fender aprons so bad that they needed to be replaced. Then I took a breather...had children...and recently tried once again, only to have this happen

I wrenched everything myself; I'm an aviation mechanic by trade, engineer due college, and run a CNC machine shop for aerospace parts. The iron head 351C pulls 401 at the tire wi 429 pound of torque...not bad for a garage-built! I'm about exhausted at this point, and I can't see throwing another $7500 at the car, especially when I still need wheels and tires and bits and pieces that end up adding to a lot of cost.

I mean it when I stated that it's about time to give up after 31 years of trying. I've wanted this car since I was 10....but I guess it just isn't in my future.

In any case...thanks for your opinion. As far as I'm concerned it's spot on.

As I said, I've seen, and know many people who have gone down this path, and I've had similar experiences myself, and Frankly I've come to the conclusion that these types are nothing more then common thieves, who prey on people with Dreams. Please don't give up on yours, because then it's a total loss. Take a Short Hiatus, and let the car sit until you've had time to think....

After all, a batter doesn't walk away from the plate with just two strikes? Even though this A-hole doesn't have any money, you could pursue a Judgement against him, just so it would follow him around, and who knows, maybe he hit's the lottery in a couple of years? If you look deep enough, I'm pretty sure you're not the only person this guy has mistreated!

.... But hopefully you'll be one of the last! I look forward to a bittersweet ending, when I see you moving ahead with your project, and this has just been one of those Bumps in getting there...... After all, your closer then you were three and a half years ago!

        Best regards, J.R.

Sorry I just found this.... So I'm a little slow........ anyways it's just a Driver, w/ rear fold down. Some suspension mods, and a late '80s roller. Currently I'm re-doing some sheet-metal, and going to re-paint! My '68 is more involved, so I'm trying to keep this one on the road!
