I like my 408c in my 65. I get decent performance and drives nice. With that said, unless you want to just be cool like me ;) or already own the c parts I would put in a straight up w good alum heads. While the c fits, and I like the motor better because it is cool...I've owned both types, know both make power but just think the w is a little easier fit (even though both can be bolted in) its just a matter of how much time and cost is virtually equal if you are starting from scratch. Also, since only one swap header fits for the c I believe the size of the tubes is contributing to some of my slight missing power woes....being able to only go 11.9 in a street mustang that I take to the office once a week in nice weather is such a bummer ;)

Hey, What is your opinion on the pure Cleveland in the 65-66 Mustangs versus a puedo-Boss motor in the same era mustang? My thoughts are leaning toward the '347 Boss' engine yet a 408 Cleveland would be tempting.

The downfall for the Boss engine is the lack of intakes, or ease of aquirering a decent one; and the downfall for the Cleveland is the pure mass of the engine: rotating weight, block weight, etc.
