Sorry to hear you're still having problems with it. I don't have a chat program that I can use on my computer at work, but I'll try to respond here if you have questions. I went back and re-read your posts... sounds like the temp creeps up when you're sitting in traffic (even though the fan is coming on) and your mechanic told you your head gasket was leaking.

Let me ask you a couple questions to try to narrow this down:

Other than the temp gauge going up, do you have any other indication that the car is overheating (running rough, coolant overflowing, etc...)?

Did your mechanic tell you what tests he performed to determine your head gasket was leaking?

Hi Jimmy......I have more info on the over-heating problem I have with my 2.3....do you have a chat program where we can talk about it. I am not having much luck with mechanics, and I really care about my car, so I want it to be in tip top shape......Thanks for the help
