Looking for a pull down motor for convertible top for ASC Mclaren 1988. Any suggestions? Motor is missing no trade in.

Anything faster then 11.49 and your going to need a cage. You should be fine with the flywheel if you keep it slower then 11.49. I have a bullet proof housing on my strip car so i don't have that problem. Just take it cool and be willing to learn from guys. I would'nt be to eager to get there and run down the track. Sit back and watch the routine they have for staging and stuff for about an hour. If you have never run a car down the strip take some time on youtube and watch the guys that mount cameras in there car.

I see you that your from MI and go to Milan with your car? I got a few questions for you if you know the routine of Milan. I would like to bring my car there this summer but think it may be to fast. I just bought a 92lx street strip car in Dec and supposable it will run low 11's. It does not have a cage, but hey I guess it is a little more relaxed in Florida where the care came from. Are they real strict about cages, what about flywheels/clutch? I am pretty sure it has an aluminum flywheel. I know that I can keep it running in the 13's when I am there, as most likely I will still be learning. I have never run a car at a drag strip so this is all new to me. Any thoughts or opinions.

      Thanks,
      Scott
