Crap, most of those don't work either. Oh well. :(

In case you guy's can't tell, I'm looking at exhaust again. Getting tired of listening to everyone else leave the car wash with ultra loud cars and me just puttering out. I think I'll just be getting a catback for the time being, if I decide to get it. Setting it up for H pipes later. I'm looking at magnaflow. Any suggestions, y'all?

well, a friends dad has the magnaflow catback on his 01 vette, and it sounds REALLY mean. idles pretty quiet, but when you get on it that car screams. i know its a chevy and all, but if the ones for the mustangs sound close...i would definately go with it. the fit/finish of them was perfect too! ill see if he has any pictures i can post.

Well, as everyone else is out having fun racing, I'm still at home, doing math homework. Started over a hour and a half ago and I've only gotten through 10 questions. :( Glad I decided not to go, cause there's no way I could have crammed all this into one night. :(

So how did everyone do today?

exhaust

hey erich, hav eyou considered the Saleen/Borla exhaust?
2 Saleen's came into my car wash yesterday.. a black '00 S281 and a red on black on black SN95 S281 ... both with the Saleen Borla exhaust. The '00 sounded good.. quiet at idle, but had a very nice sound when he took off. The SN95 was an automatic...so... yea.. it was quiet.
Another kid I knew with a 97 GT had a Bassani X-pipe w/ cats and 2 chamber flows.. and that my friend, was a mean sounding car.

Yeah, I've considered them all. But as of last week, I decided I don't really want X pipes, and Borla and Bassani are X pipe sets. Now, ask these other people here, they will tell you that my mind changes a lot. But I wanted H's for a long time, I want that low end TQ, so hopefully I won't be changing my mind again.

I saw you Erich, but I didn't realize that it was actually you until I was about 100 yrds past. I saw you take of your glasses and turn your gaze (I was past you by this time) I realized that, Yes, that guy who looked remarkably like Erich was indeed Erich. I revved it a few times but I guess you didn't hear it.

Okay, first of all: I can't thank you enough for letting me use your tires David! :nice: My good buddy Jerry put race tires on that Lincoln, so I was in desperate need of some help. That race rubber did the trick.

Me - 38.475
Jerry - 38.9

Jerry did squeak out a 38.44 but he hit the very last cone in the braking grid (as he was honking his horn and pumping his fist up and down celebrating) so he ate 2 seconds.

Okay. I'm tired, sore, sunburnt, and my high is wearing off. I'm taking a shower and going to sleep.

Had a great time, glad the mustang got the lincoln beat down.

I didn't forget about you. I just figured I'd let you tell them. And yeah, me likes me clutch :).

BTW guys. For those who weren't there, Jerry has race tires on the Lincoln now :( .

Points Championship looks good in FS(for dan that is)

Dan 1st place 4 wins(6 events)
Jerry2edplace 2 wins(4 events)

jerry's not going to the oct 6 event(could be a dan win), it looks like the oct 20th event will not matter as dan could have 5 wins by then and have clinched the championship by then.

AUTOX dates FYI

sept 29 VCC
oct 5 BCC
oct 19 gainsville
oct 20 BCC
oct 27 JAX

Hmmmm, assuming he doesn't win the last two events (and if he doesn't show on the 6th like he said I don't think he will ;)) I should have it locked up. Sweet! :nice:

Well, went up to TJ's today. Asking about exhaust, and we got in to some huge discussion about parts, SVO's, my car, other people's cars, things like that. Anyway, I found it funny that I had mentioned to him that I had $3K saved up for the SVO, and then the list of future parts I should get for my current mustang added up to $2,600. Hmmm.... :D Also put in a job app. at Panera bread, and TJ mentioned that he knew the manager at Bennegins (spell?) so maybe I'll put in a job app there, too. I need more than $100 a week.

Hey! I found this photo my Bro took this past Sunday I am not sure who's car it is but please pass it along.

eric kebbel - are you the dude with the "Imports Suck" decals on your front and rear windows??

Sorry about all the static you got over that. I guess you figured out pretty fast that the SCCA isn't the place for that kind of attitude. I personally found it amusing. But could see you were getting some crap over it. The 1/4 mile track and the Autocross are 2 different places huh?? I was amazed at how hard it is to drive like that my 1st time out. I find the 1/4 mile track painfully boring now.

Keep at it you'll keep getting better. You really have to re-learn your car in AutoX. It isn't just about mashing down the fast pedal.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you I have seen your posts here but just now put 2+2 and figured who you are. Next time I'll say hi.

I was glad to see Mr/ Martin car club was a no show. Although I really like duking it out with him. That damn Viper put down a run in the 3rd heat 0.02 seconds faster than me. I had to go out on the 4th and really kick it. I was glad to see my 36.25 held over him. He was only able to muster a 36.47 from that beast. I know he wanted to take me out. I was glad I hung on. I was so pissed after that 3rd run hitting the cones after the finish with a 35.99. I was glad I was able to put down another quick run in the 4th. I usually suck worse as the day goes on with my 1st always being me fastest.

Dan you were kicking some ass!! I was glad to see you dethrone the Linclon.

Eric sorry you couldn't come out. Hopefully next month. Good to see you have your priorities in order though. I am impressed you have more self control than I do.

Damn, did I miss an arguement from some militant import driver?
