I got a Lawyer for us on the Tremec 3650

I posted my problem under the issue thread, started one on Corral.net and e-mailed Dewayne. Just posting to keep this thread fresh. Need to make it one with the little red arrow so it doesn't go away. The only way to get a fix is to get a mob of people to complain. And I don't have a petty little 1-2 grind. The WHOLE tranny went to crap. Read about it!

Thanks for the help !!

I hope he does , cause without those e-mails my hands are tied.

We still haven't reach the 100 mark yet.

But it will come I won't give up till we get 500.

Thanks all of you that have participated!!!

Since one of the problems I have with my 5 spd if a very difficlut 2 -3 shift I almost became the first person to die because of our faulty tranny. I was merging onto the highway today and when I tried to shift from 2nd to 3rd I couldn't get the car into 3rd gear. When I looked in my rear view an 18 wheeler was flying up on me, I tried 2 more time to get into 3rd without luck, finally a put it into 4th at to low of an RPM and crept out of the trucks way just in time. I'm praying this thread can really make some waves and cause Ford to except the fact that it's customers aren't only being treated poorly but at times possibly in danger.

Stories like that will make things happen when we submit our petition to the National Highway and Traffic Administration.

Keep them coming guys were are at around 65 right now.
Long ways from 500 but it will come.

How many guys have actually had the tranny just stop working, or lose 1,2,5,R like I did? What about the guys who are on their second or third TREMEC? That is the issue that will raise questions. Like why these things keep breaking. Did the engineers designing this thing do it during siesta time? I thought manual trannies never broke.

4,800 miles repaired
10,800 replaced
13,800 tore apart by dealer then warranty refused
now being repaired by different dealer
got it together on the 6th of June and on test drive it shift notchy and hard to get in first
Told me today tranny is back out and new 1-2 gear-synchro set was ordered

My story is long, do a search on me and look for a thread I started titled" Help with tranny" or something. It is now an even longer story, but I'm not giving up.

Timeless words-of-wisdom from the '77 Oldsmobile Owner's Manual:

"Do not 'speed shift'; allow time between shifts for the transmission synchronizers to coordinate."

I realize the T3650 has a tendency to crunch, especially when the car is cold. I crunched it about 1/2 dozen times when cold.

However, I stand by my earlier assertion that this transmission sometimes makes it too easy to shift quickly. In that sense, it is a victim of its own success.

I don't think a lawsuit is warranted.

Well I'm glad to see that not everyone has been put through hell who owns a Mustang with this tranny. But my car has already lost one tranny ay 200 miles and at 4300 miles it feels as if this one is on its way out. NOT WHAT I EXPECTED WHEN I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP. Well I'm spreading the word and trying to get as many people to sign up as possible, hopefully we get some results.

Well said, I agree. I have zero problems with the 3650 in my 02. I don't treat it like it's a race tranny. It's not. Peeps missing gears, not adjusting their clutch, bending shift forks trying to speed shift, etc. all lead to problems. I'm not even mentioning the weekend warrior drag strip cats dumping at 4 grand on the line and then wondering why things don't work."But my car only has ten thousand miles on it, this tranny is a POS. Ford should fix it." It's almost laughable, some of the threads I've read on here and Corral. Good luck y'all.

Having owned probably 15 different manual tranny vehicles, I must agree they all are finicky and require skill. If you mistreat them, ie... a few times down the track, you're gonna have problems. Perhaps you are finding that the emails aren't coming as fast because those that have problems are not that big in numbers, they just complain loudly(as some should). Good luck, but I doubt Ford bends over for you.

Sorry guys my lawyer told me that I need e-mails , forum reports dont really hold much weight he said.

He said anyone can post in a forum , we need e-mails.

I figured we would have more than 65 too, but some people just don't care I guess. I am trying to make a difference and be heard. I will do it with or without 500. But with 500 my lawyer will be on board, and that holds alot more weight.

Thanks to you all who have been possitive and contributed.
