I have a 96' Auto. GT, whenever I floor it, the car seems to stuggle. It sounds like it takes shorts breaths during acceleration, this is the only way I can describe it. Anyone else experience this? Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again? Any help is appreciated.

check your plugs too...or your plug wires...i bought a 98 gt 2 years ago and there was hesitation when i would floor it...i changed the plugs and wires and everything was fine after that.

Yup. Change fuel filter, spark plugs, & spark plug wires if any of them have never been changed (or it's been a while) and I'll bet your problems will go away.

My '99 Contour SE V6 recently suffered hesitation/hiccups (with no check engine light) at mid rpms under part to full throttle. Changed plugs, wires and hoila - fixed.

Ditto my old 1994 Ford Probe GT.

deffently a tune up

those symptoms are dead give away for a good tune up

( spark plug/wires, fuel filter)

but in my tune ups I do the following

(change plugs, flush radiator fluid and replace, change fuel filter, clean my K&N, and change my oil if needed)

my car runs like a new car when im done with it. Im doing my normal tune up in 2 weeks to get it ready for summer weather.
